  5. salem's gates. He then pro-
  6. ceeded to the Temple, where
  7. Aristobulus II had barricaded
  8. himself inside. Aristobulus had
  9. burned the new bridge, be-
  10. tween upper Jerusalem and the
  11. Temple Mount, behind him,
  12. leaving Pompey no choice but
  13. to breach the walls.
  14.
